When I switch to the Test View tab in WebUI Developer Edition, the Window returns the following exception. I have installed version 2010.2.830.

An exception was encountered while constructing the content of this frame.  This information is also logged by running the application with the /log parameter on the command line, which stores results in "C:\Users\sdavis\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0\ActivityLog.xml".

Exception details:
System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.ArgumentException: There is already a command handler for the menu command 'b85579aa-8be0-4c4f-a850-90902b317571 : 13074'.

Hi Sam,

A quick search pointed me to this issue on MS Connect. There is no work-around provided there and the issue is closed. However, I also got into this related thread in our forums and this blog post suggesting a work-around. Can you check if that helps?

The blog looked promising but suggested solution did not help.

Hi Mike,

Please try the workaround provided in this MSDN blog post:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/charles_sterling/archive/2010/04/21/test-view-issue-an-exception-was-encountered-while-constructing-the-content-of-this-frame.aspx

If this doesn't help, please contact Microsoft for assistance with this Microsoft Test View problem.
