Hello Remy,
While developing RadDataForm we have made efforts to cover the following features present in the MS DataForm : editing, fields generation, collection navigation , inserting , deleting items, automation etc.
We have also tried to make our API consistent with the one of the MS form .
In addition : We have integrated the full Telerik theming support and customization capabilities. In addition to displaying/editing enum values - combo fields may be easily set up to work with lookup and foreign key data.
In general I would recommend - when developing UI with other Telerik controls - chose RadDataForm as it will easily blend with the rest of the UI.
A significant benefit with the RadDataForm would be the support you may get here as well :) .
As all other Telerik controls , RadDataForm will be a subject of significant improvements over time. These improvements will depend on requests, suggestions and feedback from the community here.
Here are some things we do not have yet , but are on their way.:
-Nesting DataForms with common validation summary
-Adding validation errors to the summary externally ( e.g. by code)
-Integrated "Cancel edit" support for non IEditableObject items.
In case you have questions on a specific feature( e.g. is it supported by RadDataForm ) , or HowTo questions, do not hesitate to contact us further .
Kind regards,
Pavel Pavlov

Hi Pavel,
Is there any update on when the feature to add validation errors to the ValidationSummary externally via code will be available?
