My client has installed Fiddler on their computers and have continuously been getting the attached error message. They only have Fiddler running for 4 hours max and they say each time they get this error message, the Fiddler log is showing less than 65,000 entries.

Hi Shaylin McNally,
Each captured session in a SAZ file is saved as three different files (see more about the SAZ file structure here). So while your sessions might be less than 65k, the actual files (in the archive) are at least three times the number of the captured sessions. You will probably hit the archive limitation of 65k with around 22k captured sessions. The team is aware of the limitation and is currently researching possibilities to replace/improve the archiving mechanism in Fiddler Classic.

What causes this much information to accumulate? Is it the amount of programs/background being run? I only have one user who continuously hits this error whereas her other coworkers do not.

Hey Shaylin,
When Fiddler Classic acts as a system proxy, it will virtually capture any traffic that goes through the system proxy. So probably, that specific user generates a lot more traffic in a smaller period, leading to a large amount of accumulated data. To lower the amount of captured data, you can suggest that the users bypass some of the endpoints that do not have to go through the proxy (through Tools > Options > Connections > Bypass Fiddler for URLs that starts with:).
Alternatively, you can try our new cross-platform Fiddler Everywhere, which can handle larger files.
