Save Span.Tag with XAML ?

Hi,

 

I have a "localized" RichTextBox that users will be typing in their native languages. Whatever they type in is saved to our database as a XAML string. Is there a way to save the Span.Tag property with the XAML ?

I need to be able to have a handle on certain keywords they can insert from a list (in their own language) so I can swap out the spans for database values. The "Tag" property is good for that, so I have an English tag associated with the span that will tell me what database value to switch the span item with in a report.
