Hello,

Our company is contemplating buying UI for WinForms if we find it will solve our current issue.

We are using UI for Silverlight for the Client Side of our application.  We use the RadRichTextBox on the client side to populate letters templates using the MailMerge method.  We then convert to a pdf filestream output.  We want to be able to use this same process on the Server Side, using the RadRichTextBox.  Is this scenario possible using UI for WinForms and the RadRichTextBox?

Thank You, Kimberly

Hi Kimberly,

Yes, you should be able to achieve your requirements using the control. What you should have in mind is that the RadRichTextBox control for WinForms is obsolete and we recommend you using RadRichTextEditor.

Another option you could consider is using RadWordsProcessing. This is an independent of UI library allowing you to work with documents from different file formats. Mail Merge and export to PDF are supported as well. For more information, you can check the documentation of this component.

Hope this is helpful.

Regards,
Tanya
