When I use a RadMaskedDateTimeInput control, it does not show the error description in the tooltip. I see the red border and the tooltip arrow displays but there is no description. A straight substitution for a RadMastedTextBox set to a Mask mode of DateTime shows the tooltip correctly so there must be a bug with this RadMaskedDateTimeInput specifically.

Telerik support, please advice if you can duplicate and when a fix will be issued?

Hello Sergio,

Can you please elaborate on the way you're implementing the MaskedInput controls validation? I tested it by using data annotations but I wasn't able to reproduce it. Can you modify the attached solution to reproduce it so that we can further investigate it? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the reply. I have submitted a support ticket (ID: 540194) so that I could upload the modified solution that duplicates the issue.

Hi Sergio,

I posted an answer to the support thread you started, but I will post the info here as well in case anyone from the community encounters the same issue.

Basically at the moment there are issues with the MaskedInput controls when validating their input using INotifyDataError interface. Basically the controls can't detect the Validation.Errors collection changes and therefore we have added a PITS item for this as we will need to further investigate what is causing the issue and if we can implement a fix for it.
