Hi Hürcan Bulut,
Support for headers and footers is in our development plans, but there is no specific timeline for now.

Hi Hürcan Bulut,

Unfortunately, specific schedule for this feature is still not available. We're doing our best to squeeze as much of the best features we can in every release.

Good day!

I downloaded the Q1 2011 version, tried to open a docx with header/footer, but they disappeared. It seems that they are still not supported. :(

I hope Telerik will put some effort in supporting this, because at least one competitor has it and I find it a very important feature. Let's hope now the Silverlight and WPF versions are both available, development of new features will become more important again.

Hello Joe, Edson, Martin,

Unfortunately we did not manage to implement the header/footer functionality for Q1 2011. We have rescheduled it for the next major release. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience this change in our plans may have caused you.
I can assure you that we are putting our efforts in developing new features. With the latest Q1 release for example we introduced support for comments and bookmarks in the document, multilevel lists, custom key bindings, RTF import and export, localization and other improvements. These features are available both in the Silverlight and the WPF version of the control now.
If you have other questions, do not hesitate to contact us again.

Kind regards,
Iva

Thank you very much. When would the next release be? Is there any workaround to simulate headers/footers for now?

Hello Joe Buckle,

The next release would probably be in about four months. Although headers and footers are planned for Q2, it's still not clear if they will make it for that release.
As it comes to possible workarounds, you can review this forum thread (the second post to be precise). There is also a demo attached to it which shows how you can add headers/footers.
Note that export and import of headers and footers will not work until genuine headers and footers are introduced.

All the best,
Iva

I tried to find a corresponding entry in PITS to vote for it, but I could not find any.

Doesn't it exist yet?

Hello Matthias,

You are right, there is no PITS issue about headers and footers. However, we have received quite a few requests both in the forum and as tickets and have scheduled them for Q2 2011. It is quite unlikely that our development plans change, but still there should be a PITS issue:
Public Url: http://www.telerik.com/support/pits.aspx#/public/silverlight/6223
You can follow the PITS Issue by its ID: 6223
