I'm a brand new Telerik user. I just purchased the Premium Collection for .NET and am getting started with the RadControls Silverlight Q2. When I try to build the Examples Solution, there are 31 errors. I am using VS2008 SP1 and have the Silverlight 3 beta version installed which I downloaded from Codeplex. Could this be causing a conflict with the Q2 release? Here is a list of the unique errors I am getting.

------ Build started: Project: TreeView.CS, Configuration: Debug Any CPU ------
TreeView\FirstLook\Example.xaml.cs(34,36): error CS0104: 'SelectionMode' is an ambiguous reference between 'System.Windows.Controls.SelectionMode' and 'Telerik.Windows.Controls.SelectionMode'

TreeView\FirstLook\Example.xaml.cs(34,36): error CS0266: Cannot implicitly convert type 'System.Windows.Controls.SelectionMode' to 'Telerik.Windows.Controls.SelectionMode'. An explicit conversion exists (are you missing a cast?)

------ Build started: Project: TreeView.VB, Configuration: Debug Any CPU ------
TreeView.VB\FirstLook\Example.xaml.vb(29) : error BC30561: 'SelectionMode' is ambiguous, imported from the namespaces or types 'Telerik.Windows.Controls, System.Windows.Controls'.

------ Build started: Project: GridView.VB, Configuration: Debug Any CPU ------
GridView.VB\Silverlight\Performance\ServerSide\Example.xaml.vb(39) : error BC30002: Type 'Customers' is not defined.

GridView.VB\Silverlight\SaveLoadSettings\RadGridViewSettings.vb(405) : error BC30560: 'ListSortDirection' is ambiguous in the namespace 'System.ComponentModel'.

GridView.VB\Silverlight\Sorting\IsSortable\Example.xaml.vb(27) : error BC30560: 'SortDescription' is ambiguous in the namespace 'System.ComponentModel'.

------ Build started: Project: GridView.CS, Configuration: Debug Any CPU ------
GridView\Silverlight\SaveLoadSettings\RadGridViewSettings.cs(495,16): error CS0433: The type 'System.ComponentModel.ListSortDirection' exists in both 'c:\Program Files\Telerik\RadControls for Silverlight Q2 2009\Binaries\Silverlight\System.Windows.Controls.Data.dll' and 'c:\Program Files\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\Silverlight\v3.0\system.dll'

------ Build started: Project: Calendar.VB, Configuration: Debug Any CPU ------
Calendar.VB\DataBinding\Example.xaml.vb(21) : error BC30002: Type 'TimeList' is not defined.
Calendar.VB\DataBinding\Example.xaml.vb(25) : error BC30002: Type 'TimeListDateService' is not defined.

------ Build started: Project: Chart.VB, Configuration: Debug Any CPU ------
Chart.VB\Silverlight\DataBinding\Example.xaml.vb(23) : error BC30002: Type 'Category_Sales_for_1997' is not defined.

Thanks in advance..

Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Our examples are still not Silverlight 3 ready! Silverlight 3 will be available officially on 10 July and we decided to postpone our Silverlight 3 release for Q2 SP1. We will do our best to upload this Friday our latest unofficial SL 3 build here.

Best wishes,
Vlad

Thank you for the prompt reply. I'll stand by for the Q2 SP1 update and the official SL3 release and try again.

Best regards,
Kevin

Hi Jonathan,

SP1 will be released in the beginning of August. Then in the installation will be included our examples build against Silverlight 3. And we will release our official SIlverlight 3 builds.
