Good day! I got problems with installation fiddler certificate on my pc, if I export the certificate myself, it simply is not detected by the system and google chrome says that the certificate is not valid, when I try to click install automatically using the trust root certificate button, it gives an error, put a log in the files. Thanks in advance.

Hi Triple,

Based on the exception message it seems the machine is misconfigured. This can also happen with enterprise machines that are managed by an IT department. I recommend following the below steps to try and resolve.

1. Open Fiddler and go to Tools > Fiddler Options > HTTPS > Decrypt HTTPS traffic > Remove Interception Certificates

2. Close Fiddler

3. Re-open Fiddler and go to Tools > Options > HTTPS > Actions > Export Root Certificate to Desktop

4. Double click the certificate

5. Select if you want to install the certificate in the user store or the machine one

6. Select "Place all certificates in the following store"

7. Click on "Browse..." and select "Trusted Root Certification Authorities"

8. Click Next and Finish

9. New dialog with "The import was successful" message should appear

For additional reference, see the below items.

Please let me know if you need any additional information. Thank you for using the Fiddler Forums.
