I have been using 4.4.8 for a bit now.  I didn't do any config changes on it at all, has been working great.

I am debugging an app running on my local IIS set to run in SSL.  It makes calls out to web services on other machine and I use Fiddler to look at the SOAP in and out.

Today I saw the prompt so downloaded and installed (by the way Symantic flagged it as being a possible threat, but I installed the file from

After installing it all traffic for my application was showing as tunnel to... and nothing else. I searched around and found I needed to set it to decrypt the SSL, but I didn't have to do this with 4.4.8.

I can see the traffic for my app now, but I do not see the calls to the webservice.  The calls still happen, there's just nothing shown on Fiddler.

Again, this all just worked with 4.4.8, I had not needed to do any config changes.

I uninstalled and reinstalled 4.4.8, but still the same.

Were there config changes made duning the install to  How can I undo them so that I can see the SOAP calls again?

    Hi, James--

With regard to Symantec, you'll have to talk to them about why their software is so false-positive prone. The AV market as a whole is biased toward false-positives for competitive reasons.

With regard to your issue, it sounds like you may be having issues with the generated certificates. You might try temporarily disabling HTTPS decryption, choosing "Remove Interception certificates" and then re-enabling HTTPS decryption.

After this, you should watch for any errors on Fiddler's LOG tab.

You may also find Fiddler's Help > Troubleshoot Filters feature useful.
