Android requires that you configure a password on your device when a certificate is installed (under the presumption that you'll be using that certificate to authenticate to things).
The PIN or Password requested is Android asking you to *add* a PIN or password to the device; the Fiddler certificate itself doesn't have any pin/password/key.

It's possible that whatever version of Android you're using requires a password of a higher complexity after you install a certificate? Or that it's asking you for the device's existing password? I can't really say.
I can say that Fiddler's certificate itself (e.g. the .CER file downloaded from http://fiddlerPCIP:8888/FiddlerRoot.cer) does not have any password protection.

Hi. thanks for answering again. I think too that it's something related to my phone. I am having similar issues also trying to select a pin for my credit cards with my bank app, the bank which I work for and that gave me this galaxy s5. A friend of mine has issues installing fiddler cer on his s6 too. also his s6 is a business phone. I attach the screenshots that show in a sequence the selecion of pin for lock screen and then the issue installing the cer. The same process works just fine on my other phone which is a galaxy note2, an older model. I just would like to ask you also if this ever happened to other people and what they did to resolve it.
thnak you
http://android.stackexchange.com/questions/17079/i-dont-know-what-my-credential-storage-password-is-can-anybody-help claims that you have to set an explicit password (not PIN) to add a certificate. Various other posts (when searching for the message ("enter password for credential storage") suggest that sometimes older Android phones require a complicated sequence to correctly set the password if a PIN were already in use.
