I am trying to look at the traffic using the latest version of Fiddler Everywhere (I can't figure out how to find the version number), but no traffic is being captured.  The switch on the tab is slid to the right and it says, "(Capturing)", but nothing is being displayed.  I've tried multiple times and tried closing and reopening my browser, Chrome, but nothing is being shown.  Any ideas on what is wrong?

Hello Shawn,

There might be multiple reasons why your Fiddler Everywhere client is not capturing traffic. The first thing you should check if you have enabled capturing secure traffic (HTTPS) - refer to this documentation article for details. Once you have installed the trust certificate, you will e able to capture HTTPS (and more websites these days are using HTTPS).

If the above is not resolving the issue, there are might be custom proxy settings that you might need to take care on your side - contact your network administrator and check this section. Notice that at this moment FE is not working alongside VPN software (like Cisco Anyconnect) -the team is researching the possibilities to implement a VPN support in the near releases.

If none of the above is resolving your issues then please send us the following details:

- The OS and the version of FE (the build number is available on the loading screen). Update to the latest release 0.11.0 (released officially yesterday).

- Send us your proxy setting before and after FE client is started with capturing turned on.

- Send us the FE logs (for Windows they are situated in C:\Users\<ussername>\AppData\Roaming\Fiddler Everywhere\Logs)

Thank you for the quick response; sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I got involved in another project.  Unfortunately, I do use Cisco AnyConnect, but I verified that I could capture network traffic once I turned it off.
