Hi,

I have Visual Studio 2010 installed and recently installed the trial of Telerik Test Studio, this file: TestStudio_2011_1_502_Trial.msi.

I followed the instructions from here: http://tv.telerik.com/watch/webui-test-studio/video/introduction-to-telerik-webui-test-studio

But when I go to add New Test after creating a project, I do not see th eoption to add a new WebAii Test.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Tim

Hello Tim,

Thanks for evaluating Test Studio Visual Studio plugin. The video you referenced is a bit outdated. The new version you downloaded no longer references tests as "WebAii;" you will see "Web Test" and "Wpf Test." They are designated with check icons (see screen shot attached).

Pick the applicable test and notice the file extension is now .tstest and no longer .aii. Please contact us again if you have further questions.

Kind regards,
Anthony

Hi Anthony,

My opinion is that such names don't distinguish WebAii projects enough.
Some people may confuse them to MS Web Tests (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms364082(v=vs.80).aspx#wtauthd_topic3)

Hello Alexey,

That is a valid point. Perhaps in future versions we'll consider altering the descriptor or changing to a unique icon.

In the meantime, Test Studio displays an informative description to identify its test types when you highlight them. See the screen shot attached.

Best wishes,
