Case closed as the problem was found to be caused by some mySQL queries mismatches...
With reference to ASP.NET MVC forum post I have the same problem utilizing the PHP wrapper.
When a new grid record is added, the data is saved to database in behind the scene, but grid stays in edit mode until page is refreshed...
