Hello Chiriac Vasile,

WebUI Test Studio Developer edition requires Visual Studio Professional as a minimum. It also works with Visual Studio Premium and Visual Studio Ultimate. It works as a plug-in for all three. It does not work with Visual Studio Test Professional because that version only supports manual testing and test case management.

We also have the WebUI Test Studio QA edition, which works as a standalone product not requiring Visual Studio at all.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

All the best,

We are looking for an automation tool to test our web product also we have in plan to design our own testing framework, as i correctly understood WebUI QA edition  is not the best choice  for our need, couse we want to develop the framework from 0.

Hi Chiriac Vasile,

Speaking from experience, I can tell you that trying to design your own testing framework is a monumental undertaking, especially when you can utilize the work we have already done and add your own app specific customizations.

You can actually expose your custom functionality to WebUI Test Studio do that it can compliment your custom areas of your web application.  Additionally you have the full power of the WebAii framework to utilize and customize your test within WebUI Test Studio.

Best Regards,
