Hi

We are working on a module which will accept data from a web api web service, use it to populate a word document via mail merge and save the document as a PDF. Is this a situation that RadWordsProcessing will be help with?

Regards

John

Hi John,

The RadWordsProcessing library could help you achieve this goal. You could merge the records with your template through the Mail Merge functionality and export the generated document to PDF using the PdfFormatProvider. For the import of DOCX files you could take a look at the Using DocxFormatProvider article.

You may also find helpful to check the examples in our SDK repository.

Hi, Just back from holiday.

Can I confirm that I would be able to use this library inside a .Net WebApi project?

Regards

John

Hello John,

The WordsProcessing library is independent of platform and UI. it is shared between the UI for WPF, UI for ASP.NET AJAX and UI for WinForms suites and many of our clients are using the library in different projects. With this in mind, I don't see a reason why it would not work in your project.

Hope this is helpful.
