Are android apps created with Icenium compatible with the licensing procedures for paid apps on Google Play?  If so, is there any documentation on how to accomplish the licensing specifically for Icenium-created apps?  The documentation on Google's web site appears to assume that all apps are developed using native Java.

Thanks.

Hello Dave,

Whether your app will be paid or free, is determined during the publishing process in the Google Developer Console and is a matter of configuring your app pricing in the Google Developer Console. There are no changes that you need to make in your Icenium project. However, you do need to have a Google Wallet Merchant Account to be able to charge for your apps.

Hi Iva,

Yes, I'm well aware of that, but that wasn't my question.  I'm asking about licensing, not whether or not my app will be paid or free.  Specifically, incorporating Google's License Validation Library (LVL).  If it can be done with a native android app, I assume there's a way to do it with an Icenium app.  The question is how?

The lack of response is deafening.

Hello Dave,

It is the first week after our latest release and we're trying to catch up with piled up support inquiries and forum posts. Forum posts are reviewed up to 3 working days and no reply is guaranteed, so if you require a reply from us, please use our support system instead (comes with Icenium professional or ultimate).

About your inquiry - incorporating the Google's License Validation Library requires implementing a custom Cordova plug-in. After some research we have found so far only code samples like this one: PhoneGap Android License Key App Checker Plugin, but nothing ready-made you can use directly in your application. If this is important and implementing a custom plug-in on your own is not an option, you can open a bounty in community forums like stack overflow or post a feature request in the Icenium Feedback Portal. If there is enough interest from other customers as well, we might consider providing such a plug-in ourselves with one of the future releases, but as of now, you are the first person to request it.

Ivan
