Hello telerik-folks!

I got the order for a project where i have to view/group/sort/search a lot of data on basis of an intranet-app. At first i thought 'hmmm, could not be THAT hard to do this stuff'... yepp, but after a short period of evaluation i found out - it actually IS complex - even more if you like to do it with ajax (and have never used ajax before - because you are a windows-forms guy ;) )

To come to the point: I googled for components, found some and downloaded evals for three of them, one of which was your component suit r.a.d.controls.

Im so stunned by just the r.a.d.Grid that i even cannot really express it. The documentation is fantastic - i needed just about an hour to implement EVERYTHING i want (graphical customization excluded...) and for which i have estimated a few WEEKS to do it myself.

This is simply amazing! After some other days of evaluation (i'm not even through with the grid, not speaking of all the other cool stuff) i will place an order ;-)

Thanks for your really great work!!!

Sincerely, Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

I started using telerik controls almost 2 years ago after searching for a WYSIWYG html editor control. Just as you are blown away with rad.grid, I was blown away with rad.editor. Everything else was gravy.

The rad.controls suite just keeps getting better and better with each quarterly release. The new features they keep adding are so novel that I find myself going out of my way to find reasons to implement them.

You'll find telerik's support to be excellent as well.

Welcome to the user community.

Wolfgang-

I completely agree with Jeff- I mean, Josef. I too have been involved in the telerik community for about a year and have come to depend on their library of controls. I can't imagine working on an ASP.NET project now that didn't use the telerik controls.

If you like what you've seen so far, I expect you'll be thrilled to see the introduction of r.a.d.reports later this year- a full-on reporting solution done "telerik style". Also, take some time to check out the other products in the telerik suite, like r.a.d.ajax, r.a.d.combobox, and r.a.d.window, just to name a few of my favorites. And when you buy, get the full subscription license; it's worth every penny!

Have fun building apps with the telerik controls and don't hesitate to bring your questions to the forums. We're always here to help and make your experience second to none.

Thanks~

Hehe :) Nice to be understood... I think most non-developers would (or actually ARE) thinking i'm completely off this planet - 'how could you make such a fuss around this boring programming-stuff?'

But as we are here in our own private programmer's gathering it seems to be ok to freak out about this :) That's really something!

Well, i'll go looking for my visa-card now ;) See you next time as 'customer' instead of 'evaluator' - will i then get a crown instead of a baseballcap as well? ;)

Kind regards,
Wolfgang
