Hi Team,

I am using a Datepicker control in one of my razor views and applied client side validation on DateTime model property which was assigned to Datepicker.

The problem I am facing is whenever I delete some portion of the date part manually and focus out of the control it is resetting to some value.

Example: If the date is "4/11/2012" and changed manually to "4/11/201" on focus out it is resetting to "12/31/1899" and in the same way when "4/11/2012" changed to "4/11/20" it is resetting to "4/11/2020".

My actual requirement is not to reset to any other value and  client validation has to fire.

Can somebody help me in achieving this functionality?

Regards,

 Hello,

What you are saying is correct that problem is not coming in the online demo link you sent. But I am getting that problem when I am running  "Extensions for ASP.NET MVC Q2 2011 Live Examples" which were installed in my local. Since I am using the same dll in my application I am getting the problem. Is this the problem only in particular version of Telerik extensions we are using?

Then what we need to do to rectify this problem.

Hello Narayanarao,

Yes, the problem that you described is occuring only in the Q2 2011 version of Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC. I will suggest you updated to the latest official release Q1 2012 in order to avoid the issue.
