How to generate in debug mode

Hi

I am trying to debug an iOS app on the device however can't seem to get it to build in debug mode.

I am build with a developer certificate. Is there a switch to enable debug mode - I seem to recall seeing one ages ago but can't for the life of me find it.

The AppBuilder docs say 'Verify that the application is built with the debug build configuration' but I don't know how.

I am trying the new GapDebug from Genuitec (in beta) but it can't find the app on the phone ( that is usb connected) as it is not in debug mode.

Any help welcome - I assume it is a cordova switch but how to turn on in AppBuilder

Hello Darren,

I am not sure which AppBuilder client you're using. However, in the AppBuilder Windows client you can go to the Project Navigator and select the solution. Then with a right click you can bring up the context menu allowing you to open the Build Settings dialog. The dialog allows you to set the active build configuration of the app.

If you're using the AppBuilder In-Browser client, then you can control the build configuration through the build wizard. Basically, when you open the wizard you will see a switch (Configure Livesync) allowing you to turn on and off the livesync option. As long as the option is turned on - the app will be built in debug mode and vice versa.
