Hi:
I have a wide grid, about 4 full screen-widths. Initially, the scrollbar is half the screen width. As I drag it right, it gets smaller and smaller. Eventually my mouse goes beyond the grid to the right, but the scrollbar is nowhere near the end of its range. I have to go back and drag it right several times to the right to get it to the end of the range.
I'm using SL4 beta. Is this an issue with that?
One other data point: I'm using a 1920 x 1200 res laptop full screen. When I shrink the window down things get bette,r although the horizontal scroll is really jerky.

Hello Terry,
This sis how the grid will work in case of enabled columns virtualization. On initial load only visible columns are measured and the scrollbar does not know that you have more columns and their widths. When you scroll to the right the grid will measure on demand columns and the horizontal scrollbar will be adjusted. You can control this if you set for example ColumnWidth="200" or you can disable horizontal virtualization completely using EnableColumnVirtualization="False".

OK, Vlad, disabling virtualization makes the scrollbar work much better. However, I'm noticing a second peculiarity. When I scroll by clicking the arrows at the extreme right and left, the scrollbar does not move at all. So I may end up scrolled all the way to the right, but the scrollbar is all the way to the left.
Again, this is SL4 beta, if that makes a difference.

Can you post the exact version of the grid assembly? We had such problem however this was fixed two months ago.

I am having the same problem with a jerky horizontal scrollbar on a RadGridView. I have switched off virtualisation and I am using version 2012.1.521.1050.
I only have 10 rows in the grid and it's width is not very big (big enough for a scrollbar obviously).

Can you reproduce the problem using our latest official version - 2012.2.0607? If so, please send us a small runnable project which demonstrate the issue. We will check what is going on and will provide you with further assistance. In order to attach a project you need to open a support ticket.
