This is issue is reproducible. I have a grid of 200 rows * 35 cols. I enable grouping and drag a column header to the grouping panel and start scrolling the grid using the midle mouse button. the whole brwoser is frozen and the CPU utiliztion move up to 100% in one core.
I also notice that by moving the back and forward over the grid ( hovering) the CPU utilization increases significantly. Although it goes back to normal when I stop the mouse movement, it seems that it is unneccessary to perform too much animation that take too much cpu power. Is there any way to stop the animation or limit it to certain extent so that cpu power is used for the real work instead. As an example, multiselect takes a long time to select 30 rows by dragging the mouse, while the same selections takes less time (although still long) when using the combination of the mouse and SHIFT key.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hello Kevin,

The grid is not so responsive with 35 columns. This is because we don't have column virtualization.
This feature will be added in our Q3 release as well as other features that will improve performance. As for the animation - the only way to stop them is to edit the control templates and remove them.
With the Q3 release the performance will be much better and you won't have such issues.

Kind regards,
