Hi,

I don't know whether anyone has used the new google calendar but it has a pretty cool alert box and I was wondering if anyone knows how to do it ?

Basically, it pops up a layer in the middle of the screen and it fades everything in the background to white (about 50%).

If that doesn't really explain it then I've taken a screengrab here...

I thought that layer transparency only worked in IE but this seems to work in Firefox too, also I have no idea how they have centred the layer in the middle of the screen.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Jon

Hi Jon,

I think this forum thread will be of help in your case. You can modify Luciano's code so it fit your needs.

Georgi-

Doesn't the code you linked to in the other thread "break" window? I know that guidance was pushed from telerik to remove any references to "filter" tags in the Modal stylesheet to fix window display errors. Specifically, a datepicker control in a modal window with "filter" tags in the stylesheets causes the window to "disappear" when the datepicker dropdown is engaged.

I'm not sure if there is a fix for this behavior, but I know that was the case a month or two ago.

Thanks~

Hello Todd,

Basically, a problem can appear when we have "filter that is rendered over filter" situation - the main reason why we stop using filters in our skins. However in this case Jon should be able to use filters without problems. Jon, if any problems appear, please send us a sample project that illustrates it and we will do our best to help.

In addition, in the new version (1.5) that will appear on 26th of June with r.a.d.controls Q2, when the RadWindow is modal, the background will be automatically greyed out, so there will be no need for filters at all.
