Do you have any getting started videos? Any videos on how  to deploy, how to connect to a DB on a server? etc.

Hi Asit,

Thanks for trying the BETA. We are working on a number of videos to be posted soon but so far we have not planned one on db connectivity. We'll add that to the list. To connect to a db on a server you have to expose the db via web services that can be called from JavaScript in your app.

Just a few suggestions...

On the "Getting Started" guide, you may want to include links at the bottom of each page that move to the next section of the guide.  For example, on http://www.icenium.com/resources/documentation/quick-start the bottom of the page says "If you are reading this you are probably anxious to get started, so let’s jump right into the first steps necessary to develop apps that will delight your users." but it's not obvious that you need to scroll back up to the top of the page and click on the next section in the left-column.  This constant read-scroll-click is a bit annoying.

On the user profile page you may want to default to Gravatar for your user profiles (why wouldn't they use it if they have one?)

You should probably make Company Name optional.  The current requirement is a bit annoying since there's no obvious label marking it as required and many services like this are used by individuals (such as students) that don't represent a company.  When you try to update your profile, the button simply doesn't work without indicating why (or auto-scrolling to the empty field highlighted in red).  After trying to click the Update button a few times to no avail, I eventually scrolled up to the top of the page and noticed small red lettering indicating that field was required.

The first "Look here for more information on the debugger" reference on
http://www.icenium.com/resources/documentation/running-the-app-in-the-device-simulator
doesn't have the link enabled (but is enabled on the last reference on the page).

On http://www.icenium.com/resources/documentation/testing-apps-on-devices you should re-word "...makes the testing task very daunting task..."

On http://www.icenium.com/resources/documentation/testing-apps-on-devices you should convert two black "here" links to the standard blue links

Overall, the service is looking very promising and is the closest to the Hybrid-Cordova-LiveDebug-CloudIDE-CloudBuild solution I'm looking for.

P.S. You score major bonus points for providing three project options including Blank and jQuery Mobile in addition to your corporate-branded solution with KendoUI.  The fact that the Telerik name and logo isn't branded everywhere on the screen and you're not forcing me to use your UI solution (albeit a good one that I have no issue against) is comforting to a development group that's looking for a long-term commitment with a mobile development toolkit and workflow.

P.P.S   Is your device simulator based on RIM's Ripple (http://ripple.tinyhippos.com/) or a custom WPF app?  Also, is your simulator and Icenium Ion using Weinre (https://people.apache.org/~pmuellr/weinre/docs/latest/) and how would you compile an application for debug rather than production?  ...sorry for the specific technical questions, but I'd like to see your simulation/emulation/debugging environment leveraging solid community-supported tools wherever possible.

Hello Asit,

Thank you for the feedback it is much appreciated, I have addressed the content issues in the documentation. I also have made a request to see if we can enable Gravatar (I am a big Gravatar fan as well) and asked if the company field can be made not required.

Our device simulator is built with the Google Webkit tools with Ripple as our bridge layer, you can see a list of projects we use in one way or another in the Beta EULA. We do not use Weinre currently but you never know what the future holds ;). For building for debug we don't differentiate builds but depending on the certs you use you may not be able to deploy to publicly but i don't think that is what you are asking.

Thank you again for the feedback and please keep it coming.
