Please fix the Fiddler installer. Every update un-installs my previous installation (from the location I selected during initial install), and then, without choice, auto-installs to c:\users\%unsername%\...

The installer should respect the initial installation location, and update in-place.

I'm using Fiddler on Windows 10.  It was working fine a few days ago.  Now, no matter what I do, I cannot save sessions.  Fiddler crashes hard, ungracefully, and it basically means I can't send archives.  It also leaves the proxy enabled, meaning I have to manually go in and remove it.  I just can't believe I'm the only one having this.  It's probably some recent Windows Update.  Anyone else?

Hi,

trying to update fiddler to current version fails because the file uninst.exe of the previous version is missing. No idea, why.

How can I manually uninstall my current version of Fiddler to enable install of new version?

Regards,

Torsten

A month ago after a Fiddler upgrade I had a problem where it shows the splash screen and at the bottom it says "Searching for prior instance..." but nothing else ever occurs:  splash screen remains until process is killed manually.

At that time I tried some deinstall, reboot, reinstall activity without success.  Tried removing some Fiddler registry entries as well.

I reverted to version 4.4. something and that worked for the last month.  I was having some https issues so...

Today I upgraded again and have the same problem.  Splash screen says version is v4.6.20173.38786.  That is the only version listed in Control panel/Programs.

The program files do exist in AppData\Local\Programs\Fiddler and that dir is last entry in my PATH.  (Noting some previous installs were in Program Files and Pogram Files (x86) but there are no Fiddler dirs there now).

My account is in Administrators, and running Fiddler with right mouse/ as admin results in same splash hang.

Any ideas why it is hanging on the prior instance step?

I have this problem that a session is too long to respond. So I want it to be automatically aborted.

Im reissuing multiple request/sessions sequentially. The problem is, when I leave it unattended, if the request freezes (where the server doesn't respond), it stays as it is, it doesnt proceed to next sequence.

So how can we abort session for a certain of time if it doesnt receive a response? So the reissue sequentially function for multiple request will proceed if the server doesnt respond?

Thank you.

Where is the FiddlerScript object model documentation?

The Class Explorer only shows the top level's objects' properties, and that's it ...

So, where is the full Fiddler documentation or `.d.ts` file?

Can we edit FiddlerScript in advanced editors with IntelliSense, like Microsoft Visual Studio Code?

Your help is appreciated.
