Fiddler Everywhere doesn't start on Windows 10

Hi,

I've installed Fiddler Everywhere(1.6.0) about 2 weeks ago on my Windows 10 machine and it worked fine. Since about a week, I can't start it, if I open the exe file, nothing happens.

I tried reinstalling it, I've installed even 1.6.1, but I experience the same symptom.  Please find the latest entries from AppData\Roaming\Fiddler Everywhere\Logs\electron.log file:

Could you please assist what might the issue? Fiddler Classic works fine without any issue.

Hello Robert,

The log indicates that for some reason, some of the endpoints used by the Fiddler Everywhere application startup are not accessible. That could be caused by multiple reasons like a temporary lousy connection, broken network configuration, 3rd-party tools like VPN or security software, etc.

- The first thing you could check and verify is that when Fiddler Everywhere is closed, the Windows OS proxy settings are reset to their default. On Windows 10, you could open these settings by typing Proxy Settings in the start menu.

- Another thing to verify is that you have access to the Fiddler Everywhere startup and login API endpoints listed in this documentation section.

- You could turn off any VPN software and start Fiddler Everywhere afterward.

If none of the above helps, please send us both the electron.log and the netcore.log files and provide detailed information about your network setup (another proxy apart from Fiddler, PAc scripts, or other specific network configurations or tooling).
