Fiddler Classic - Trusted Root Cert expired June 12 '21

I wanted to obtain the HTTPS POST URL generated from a "highly obfuscated" Phish in HTML format.  But I had problems.

I exported the Certificate generated by Fiddler Classic, v5.0.20204.45441, and I was surprised to see the Certificate expired on 6/12/'21.  I see that that is is the last released version.

Is there an update to Fiddler Classic that will generate a Trusted Cert that is current and not expired ?

The Fiddler root certificate can be regenerated from the options > HTTPS tab. Click on the Actions button at the top right, then "Reset All Certificates...". There will be multiple prompts from the OS - to remove old certificates and add newly generated ones. You must accept all prompts to complete the process.

It worked. I was finally able to obtain the HTTPS POST URL of harvested, but encoded, credentials.

Just to add, I was in a similar situation.
Uninstalling and reinstalling Fiddler was one approach we tried, and it DIDN'T resolve the certificate expiry date issue, as the certificate persisted when everything else was blown away.
The reason my Fiddler wouldn't work was really tricky to track down.

Hey Osric,

The reinstallation of Fiddler won't remove the installed certificate authority (and thus won't resolve the expiration date issue). As @Stoyan noted, you must use the "Reset All Certificates" option from the Settings menu.
