My Fiddler crashed the last Friday, and after that, something in the background always auto-enable proxy settings in Internet Options even though the Fiddler isn't running, as a result, I couldn't open any web pages and have to manually disable the proxy, but the proxy would be re-enabled again in few minutes and I have to repeat that again and again, any advice to identify and fix that? Thank you.

HI Alex,

Thank you for reporting this. Although, we'll need more information in order to troubleshoot the issue. Before we start to isolate the issue, I can see that this a duplicate issue. Can you let me know if you are using Fiddler Desktop or Fiddler Everywhere?

Once I have this information I will be able to start troubleshooting the issue.

In the meantime, please let me know if you need any additional information. Thank you and I look forward to your reply.

Thanks Eric for looking into this, really appreciate it.

I assume I'm using the Fiddler Desktop coz I downloaded the Windows version from this link https://www.telerik.com/download/fiddler, and installed it in my Win10 x64 desktop, I couldn't remember the exact Fiddler version caused this trouble, as I upgraded Fiddler to this version "v5.0.20194.41348 for .NET 4.6.1" to try to resolve this issue but no luck.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Hi Alex,

Great! Thank you for the additional information. Please note that this is the forum for the Fiddler Everywhere version which is different from the Desktop version. I also noticed this is a duplicate of the post on the Fiddler Desktop Forums. In an effort to keep things efficient, we should should continue the conversation in the Fiddler Desktop Forums and I will provide a response there.

Please let me know if you need any additional information. Thank you.

Sorry for being duplicate as I was not clear for the difference between Fiddler Windows and Fiddler on PCs, let's close this as per separate thread.
