Facing Error "Missing reference" for the telerik.windows.controls.dll while upgrading the dlls

Hi,

I am facing a problem when I am trying to upgrade the telerik binaries from version "2009.3.1314.1030" to "2012.1.326.1050". I have added the reference of the assembly "Telerik.Windows.Controls.dll" in my project and after that the statement 
using Telerik.Windows.Controls ; 

is throwing an error like the below:
The type or namespace name 'Telerik' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

I have .net framework 4 installed on my machine.

One other interesting thing that I have observed is that when I have tried to open this assembly in the Object Browser from Visual Studio 2010, it is not opening the assembly.

Any suggestions/ideas to fix this issue?

Hi,

Please clean your solution and rebuild it. Does your project target Silverlight 5 after you have upgraded to version "2012.1.326.1050"?

Thanks for the reply.

For the testing purpose, I have created a new sample Silverlight application and trying to add this dll in that project but still facing the same problem.

Still, I have tried to clean the solution but no luck :(.

My application is targetting Silverlight 4 only.

Hi,

 If your Target Framework is Silverlight 4, then you should upgrade to version 2012.1.326.1040, not version - 2012.1.326.1050. The 2012.1.326.1040 binaries target Silverlight 4.

If that is the case, how can I download the 2012.1.326.1040 binaries which are targetted for Silverlight 4?

I have downloaded the latest Silverlight package (trial version) from Telerik and that package doesn't have 1040 binaries.

If you can provide me the details where I can download the 1040 binaries, I will test the things quickly and will update you.

but it is having the 2012.1.326.1050 dlls only. Where can I get the 1040 dlls?
