Your ComboBox has a cool animation where it begins droping down from the top to the bottom.  However if the ComboBox is at the bottom of the form the dropdown list is placed above the box instead of below - as it should be.  The problem, however, is that the animation still comes from the top.  In most cases this just looks bad however in my case it totally confuses the user because I have a stack of ComboBoxes and it looks like the list is coming from one of the other boxes.

I certainly hope there is a fix or a workaround for this.
Thanks,
Gary

Hello Gary,

Could you try with the latest internal build of RadControls for Silverlight? We recently fixed this problem and the upcoming service pack this week will contain the fix.

Kind regards,

I'm not sure how to "install" your new build.  Do I just relplace all the files in my /Program Files/.../silverlight directory with the ones from the new build?  Does anything have to be done to my existing projects or toolboxes?  Also I see the warning that this internal build has not been through the QA process and I'm writing for production.  Can I just replace the dll that has this fix?
Thanks,
Gary

Hi Gary Blakely,

Thank you for contacting us.

You can find instructions how to change your assemblies here:
http://www.telerik.com/help/silverlight/installation-installing-hotfix.html
You will have to update all Telerik assemblies used in your project, otherwise the build will not succeed. In a few days a service pack will be released in which are included all fixes, so if this time frame is acceptable for you, you can install it.

If you need further assistance please let us know.

Regards,

When I opened up my VS project I was informed of a new Telerik release and I did the upgrade.  However the combo boxes at the bottom of the form still animate the dropdown from the top down to the box that was hit.

Hi Gary,

I apologize for the inconvenience. RadComboBox supplies the needed parameters to the application, but unfortunately in the last moment before the release our designers decided to change the animations, which unfortunately are not directional, hence the control still animates the dropdown from top to bottom. We will fix this problem in the next internal build.

Best wishes,
