Designer and foreign keys

Hi Guys

i am trying to design my model/database in the designer, and while im having plenty of issues trying to make that work well, the promblem im coming across right now is that when i set up an association, i cant seem to get it to push foreign keys to the backend database.

I have tried as many different ways of setting it up in the association editor, but none of these seem to even save into the designer. When i make the changes, close and save, re-build the designer then re-open the association editor those changes are no longer there. I am assuming this is the reason why the foreign keys are not generated in the database scripts.

I have even tried playing with the underlying xml, but this just leads to validation errors (probably my understanding of the xml structure more than anything).

Any advice would be greatly appriciated.

No fixes for this yet on generating the foreign keys, but that seems to be coming in mid august (i.e. any day now)

I am not sure if this is causing the issues im having with the designer not saving the changes in the association editor, but im hoping it is.

Hello Jason,

 The fixes are definitely delivered but the service pack is not fully baked yet. We will prolong it for about two weeks. I will keep you updated in this forum when I have more accurate information about the exact date of the service pack.
