Hi there,

We have the following streaming video scenario in mind.

We want to do crossdomain video streaming  using Windows Media Service 9.0 as the streaming server.
The videos are NTFS protected, and accordingly the NTFS authentication plugin is being used. This means that we need an authentication/authorization mechanism for the RadMediaPlayer/Windows Media Service communication.

We would love to use the RadMediaPlayer in this scenario. Is the player supportive of this scenario?

Thank you,

Hendrik.

Hi Hendrik Klompmaker,

Telerik RadMediaPlayer is built on top of the default MediaElement in Silverlight 2. Since the standard MediaElement in SL does not prompt for credenatials, neither will RadMediaPlayer. RadMediaPlayer does not extend the behavior of the MediaElement in terms of  Straem Authorization, yet. Nevertheless, we will surely research the matter and once we find the best approach we will implement it in the control.
