This month (August, 2010) shows up incorrectly.

It has two weeks worth of September showing, and none of July. It should be 1 week of July and a few days of September.

Hi Tyree,

Thank you for your interest and for submitting your concerns.

If you see the same default DatePicker as the screenshot attached, this is the expected look of the control.

Please, note that  days from  one month back and ahead of the current month are not  and should not be equally divided. The calendar will show days from the previous month only if there is a need to fill a whole week in order to fit the first day of the current month in the first row.

In the case of August 2010, 1st August is on Sunday, which means this is the first day button from the week.  As a result there is no need to show days from July , but only to fill up the available calendar rows with days from August and September.

If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Best wishes,
Dani

Stating that it "should not' is based on your arbitrary set of rules. I accept that it works "as designed", I am stating that it does not work "as desired" (for my crew). To say there is no need to display days from July, there is also no need to show days from September as they could be blank.

Our LOB requires our users to frequently use days from the trailing month. This has never been an issue previously but if we change to the Telerik calendar it will become an undesired change. An extra click may seem inconsequential but when your changing a users screen with no added benefits, but negatively impacts how quickly thave have previously been able to do their job - it becomes a problem. From my side I would, also, now have to include multiple dll's for different controls AND I wouldn't be able to use the built-in date editor in GridView.

So how can we make it work for us?

Hi Tyree,

Unfortunately, this is default behavior of the control which will not be changed.

If you wish to share any thoughts or concerns, please feel free to write back to us.
