1) The snapshot takes 2-3 minutes on a Core i7 with 6Gigs ram...
2) Is there no way to filter out Microsoft stuff so I can only see things I've coded?  There's so much stuff in here that performance is painfully slow switching tabs (90% of which I don't care to see).  All I did was fire up a trace, load one page, then click snapshot to finish it.  So slow switching that it says "Not Responding" in the Title...but it always comes back if I leave it alone.

Feature request:
CHARTS\GRAPHS...and then add some more charts and graphs, and gauges, and visualizations :)

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your feedback. JustTrace is beta version and we will try to offer better performance for the official release. Also what profiler (sampling, tracing) did you use?

As for your second point there are indeed two ways to filter the data. The first one is using the grid/treelistview column filtering. The second one is not documented but you should be able to find the following configuration file %temp%\Telerik\JustTrace\justTrace.xml. We plan to document this feature in the next version.

Also we are already considering to include charts/graphs in future JustTrace version so stay tuned.

I used both Tracing and Memory (2 tests) same result both times

There needs to be a checkbox or something somewhere that I can use to filter out the standard asp.net bits becasue 99.9% of the time I really have zero interest in their performance or when they are called...just muddles up the results of code I actually have control over :)

I have to say I am having the same experience using the Q2 2012 product - Build 2012.2.510.0. The performance issues have not been resolved, apparently. I did slightly more than the original poster did (I logged in, navigated to a couple of pages then went to the page I have specific interest in) and just trying to switch tabs from the two snapshots I created causes the application to not respond for a long period of time (10;s of minutes in some cases).

I am running on a quad core I7 running at 2.8 Ghz with 12 GB of RAM on a three disk RAID 0 array with about 60% of my array free space. I can dozens of applications simultaneously, including SSMS, Visual Studio and others and not run into this problem. I have used Resource Monitor (Windows 7) to take a look at what is going on from a CPU, Memory and Disk perspective and I can genearalize it by saying - "not much". The app itself seems to be having the issues.

How can I resolve or troubleshoot this unworkable performance lag?

Hello Mike,

Thank you for sharing your findings with us. The delays of 10s of minutes you are experiencing are quite unusual. We have made significant performance improvements in the UI of JustTrace after the release of Q2 Internal Build 2012.2.510.0. So please find attached a private build which should work a lot faster. Hopefully, you will be able to smoothly profile your application with it.

If you still continue to experience such huge delays, can you be more specific about which actions cause them?

Looking forward to your valuable feedback.

Kind regards,
Martin
