I've just been fired recently and I have quite a few ideas since.
I want to build an app for iOS, Android but I don't know how to start.
Can you guys recommend me with books about this?
Many thanks!

Hello David,
Progress Telerik Platform offers two separate roads to develop a mobile application.
The first is NativeScript, which is also our recommended approach. This technology can be used to create mobile apps with native look, feel and performance. To develop such app you require knowledge in NativeScript, JavaScript/TypeScript, XML, CSS and eventually Angular 2 (if you desire to use it). The best way to learn NativeScript is to read through its documentation, create a sample app by following the steps outlined in the tutorial or read one of the blogs that usually give solution to real time problems that developer face every day. Furthermore, in the resources section, you can find a lot of additional information in the form of articles, books and even videos. As for JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular 2, I believe the knowledge available online is abundant.
The second option is to use Apache Cordova. With this framework you can create apps with native look and close to native performance. To develop hybrid apps, you require knowledge in JavaScript (TypeScript will work too, but for the time being it is not very popular in the Cordova community), HTML, CSS and eventually Kendo (or an alternative UI framework). The technology is quite old and most of the available literature is outdated. The best way to learn Cordova is from their official documentation, as well as the AppBuilder Cordova docs. Additionally, you can check the interactive tutorials that we have and test the sample apps that show various implementation of some of the most used functionalities.
