When adding tasks in TP there is no way to include the activity type, so we have to edit each item in TFS after the event.

Is there away around this?

Hi Stuart,

TeamPulse does not currently have a field on the task item type that would be relevant to sync with the Activity field in TFS. You could use a Default Value mapping with your synchronization mapping file to assign a default value to the TFS task item upon creation, but this is a static value so it is really only useful if all (or a large majority) or your tasks fall under the same Activity type. For more information on default value mappings you can review the topic within our Synchronization mapping documentation.
