Hello,

Using Silverlight RadTools Trial

I downloaded and installed the trial version and attempting to add the controls to VS Toolbox following the instructions here:

Adding RadControls to Visual Studio Toolbox

I'm confussed about the first paragraph that reads:

"Before adding our controls in your toolbox it’s useful to know that you always must add a reference to our core assembly Telerik.Windows.Controls. If you are using RadGridView or RadCharts you also need to add a reference to Telerik.Windows.Data."

Can someone explain exactly how to "add a reference to our core assembly..."?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Bob

I have the Same Issue. I installed Silverlight but Can't see Silverlight Components tab in Visual Studio 2008. What I did wrong? Is there any tools like Register RadControls for ASPNET AJAX Q3 2008 items in the Visual Studio toolbox??? I do not see the it under Silver Light Program group in my computer. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Ghulam

Hi Robert,

This note is a little bit misleading. In fact it has nothing to do with adding our controls to the toolbox. It is trying to say that you always have to add reference to Telerik.Windows.Controls assembly in the references of your project. For example if you use only RadTreeView which is in Telerik.Windows.Controls.Navigation assembly, you still have to add Telerik.Windows.Controls to your references as it contains some basic classes which are used in all other assemblies. Same with Telerik.Windows.Data.

As this note is not related to adding our controls to the toolbox, just continue with the instructions below to add RadControls to the VS toolbox. Please let me know if you have more questions.

Best wishes,
