I am trying to install WireShark on my Windows 7X64 Ultimate machine, and the installer says WinPcap is already installed on my machine. The only thing I can find related to WinPcap on my machine is the npf.sys driver in the Window's 32 driver folder. I think Fiddler installed the build of WinPcap I have on my machine. I believe WireShark uses a more recent build of WinPcap so I would like to install the build of WinPcap that WireShark uses. How do I remove the build of WinPcap that Fiddler installed on my machine? I tried uninstalling Fiddler, and that did not work. WinPcap is not listed in Program/uninstall a program. Packet.dll is not in the System 32 folder; it's only in the SysWOW64 Folder. Also will the most recent build of fiddler work with the build of WinPcap that WireShark uses? I think WireShark uses a more recent build of WinPcap.

Hello, Michael--

Sorry, but Fiddler does not use any form of WinPCAP code, so this was likely installed by some other program you have installed.

Thank you! I don't know what other program could have installed it. I'm scratching my head on this one. I can't even find it anywhere to uninstall. Well, thank you for your help!
