I am evaluating Telerik Test Studio (http://www.telerik.com/automated-testing-tools) as a web regression tool and looking for a how-to on setting up and using of a Page Object Model environment like is possible in Selenium.

http://code.google.com/p/selenium/wiki/PageObjects

The Telerik documentation is focused on record/playback which is very brittle, and my google searches haven't turned up relevant links.

btw, I've cross posted this on stackoverflow http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15034206/how-to-on-implementing-page-object-model-with-telerik-test-studio

Hi Fazle,

I have answered what I believe is a duplicate of this question in your other post on the Test Studio standalone forum here. I suggest we continue our discussion there unless you have any objections or questions geared specifically to the Telerik Testing Framework.

Hi Fazle,

I know this is way late but I agree with you...the testing framework documentation on how to implement the POM is nil and always redirecting you toward Test Studio.

The best approach I've found is to learn the POM way forwards and backwards by scouring the internet and eventually it will make sense on how you can implement it irrelevant of which framework you decided to use, be it Selenium's Webdriver or WebAii testing framework or whatever.  It just seems that there's way more documentation out there on how to do it using Selenium...and I don't think Telerik's helping their cause.

I myself ended up going with Webdriver...but even then most of the documentation is for using Java and Webdriver.

Good luck!

Hello Humberto,

Thank you for your feedback.

We are trying to improve our documentation constantly.

Here are some guidelines for implementing POM in TTS.

Thank you!
