How to disable the echo service?

After I download the cer from the http://fiddlerip:port/ , I do not need the echo service anymore. And for security, I need just keep proxy func, and shutdown the echo service.

After search whole google, can not find clue.

Anyone can help?

Thanks

Hello,

The echo service is just an alias for the loopback address of the IPv4 adapter (as Fiddler is hardcoded to bypass proxies for requests targeted to localhost). So basically, you could create a rule via the AutoResponder to ignore such requests.

Not very understand your solution.

you mean drop the request to localhost, such as

EXACT:http://localhost

action will be *drop

?

If so, I tried it and not working.

In fact the request not send to localhost, is a normal http request to IP_fiddler:port/, can not drop all connection as this.

So , can help to share the autoresponder rule detail code?

Thanks

You can filter out the loopback address 127.0.0.1:8866, or you could combine the address filtering with other filters for data in a request/response body or header.
