Hello everybody,

Is there any way I can create a handler for an event of a javascript object that is not associated with an element of the DOM?

In all the examples I found, the handlers are always associated with an event of an element, for example the click of a button, I want to associate an event handler to a javascript object in a memory.

Thanks!
Fred

Hi Frederico,

No I am sorry we do not have the ability to attach event handlers to just any JavaScript object, only actual HTML elements. Sounds like a good feature request! I have logged it under feature request 106336

Best wishes,

Hi Cody,

I wasn't able to access the details of the feature request.
The link you send, when clicked, displays an error page and at the interface of PITS, I could not find it by his ID.

Thanks!
Fred

I found it by looking at the feature request list.
If I use the search box with the ID I cannot find it.
