A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file

PROBLEM

You try to install Q3 2008 SP2 on your machine and you get the following message: A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file

SOLUTION

The reason for this message to appear is that another minor version of the same major version is currently installed. Please note that you can have two minor versions of two different major versions installed simultaneously. However, you cannot have two minor versions of one and the same major version on your machine. So, in order to get rid of the message and install Q3 2008 SP2, please first uninstall Q3 2008 or Q3 2008 SP1 (whichever you have currently installed).
