Join us for #TBT jQuery-Style!

Quarantined Coding is back live on the CodeItLive Twitch channel! Join us on πŸ“… Thursday, July 2 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm ET for a day of Throwback Thursday (#TBT) Coding: jQuery-style! This time around, Alyssa and TJ will have seven hours to build a poll that can be used on our Twitch channel. There will be jQuery, CSS, Kendo UI, trivia, prizes, cool guests and more.

How #TBT jQuery Style Will Work

TJ and Alyssa will hit the ground runningπŸƒ‍β™€οΈπŸƒ‍♂️, wasting no time jumping into building the poll. Part way through the day, they will take a short break from coding and chat with some surprise guests with deep roots in the jQuery space. They’ll then be joined by Erik Guzman (aka Talk2MeGooseman on Twitch) who will help them turn the poll into a Twitch extension. And finally, they’ll round out the day with some backend goodness and front-end polish.

As always, we want to hear all your suggestions and get your help with the code! πŸ’ What should we name it? What should our first poll question be? What type of chart should we use to display the answers? πŸ€” Help us decide all of this. And remember, this is Quarantined Coding so the crazier the suggestions, the better!

You can join in whenever you’d like! We’ll be live between ⏰ 10:00 am – 5:00 pm ET. We’ll be giving away random prizes 🎁  throughout the day to people who participate in the chat, so bring your wildest, funniest, dreamiest suggestions and let's see what we can build together!

And since this is #ThrowbackThursday, expect a lot of jQuery-related fun—most notably trivia, so study up on the jQuery APIs you might’ve forgotten πŸ˜‰

I.C.Y.M.I

In our first episode of Quarantined Coding, Sam & TJ (Team Cabin) took on Alyssa & Ed (Team Fever) to see who could build the craziest app to make WFH more fun.

In our second round (fondly referred to as #epic2) Alyssa, TJ and Sam built a virtual gong app! As with any Quarantined Coding event, there was a lot of code, a lot of laughs, and maybe a chicken or two.

In our third round (fondly referred to as Revenge of the Gong) Alyssa and TJ add a little pizzazz to the gong! Lots of coding, lots of laughs, and the CodeItChicken!
