    Yeah, guys, your not going to believe this but... when I download the CHM file documentation (e.g. I tested with RadChart CHM file), the contents is not visible on a x64 XP machine with IE7.  If I copy the exact same file to a virtual machine with normal windows XP, and IE6, it works.  Is this a x64 bit problem, an IE7 problem, or my :) problem ?!

    Hi Ewart,

    I think that the problem you have is a well known one. Microsoft issued a patch for a CHM flaw a while ago, which prevents viewing CHM files from untrusted locations. This means that if you try to open the file from a network drive you will get an error page.  Sometimes even if you download the CHM file on your local computer you will still get the error. You need  ensure that the file is on the local hard drive, then right-click it, select properties and finally click the unlock button at the bottom of the properties window. This will tell Windows that the CHM file is safe and you will be able to view its contents.

    ah, so obvious!  thanks heaps mate (it was the 'protection' feature as the file was on my local hd)
