In Visual Studio 2010 or 2012 when I click on a tab in the Rad Ribbon Bar the tab just shows a blank space with no text. If I click on another tab, its text is not visible, but the text on the previous tab is once again visible.  In other words, the tab text is not visible anymore when clicking on a tab.

Hello,

Thank you for writing.

I assume that you are talking about the design time editor which appears when you click the "Add New Tab.." tab in RadRibbonBar. If so, please note that this is used to a allow to you easily add tabs in design time. Attached you can find a video demonstrating that.

If this is not the case, please provide me with more details about the undesired behavior, so I can reproduce it on my end and provide you with adequate support. A video of the undesired behavior will also be appreciated. You can use this free tool to capture one: Jing.

I hope this helps.

No.  The system I am using is Windows 7.  The version of the Telerik Ribbon Control is 2009.1.9.414.  I have been using this control for quite some time.  My previous development system was XP using Visual Studio 2008.  My new system is Windows 7 using either Visual Studio 2010 or 2012.  At design time when I click on an existing tab the text is no longer visible.  It also happens when running the application.

Hello,

The version that you are using is from April 2009 and by this time Visual Studio 2010 and 2012 did not exist. Q1 2009 officially support VS2008 and VS2005. You can upgrade your project and use it in VS2010/2012 however, such glitches in design time are possible, since Q1 2009 is not tested with these versions of VS for obvious reasons.

I would suggest that you upgrade your application(s) to our latest version - Q3 2012, which is fully compatible with VS2010 and 2012. Also, the suite has undergone many major improvements, many new controls and features were added for the past three years.

I hope that you find this information useful.

All the best,
Stefan

I thought that would be the answer.  All I use is the Ribbon control.  I looked on the site and I could not find any upgrade pricing and $999.00 is more than I want to pay.  I am able to replcate the functionality with the built-in tab control, toolbar and tablelayoutpanel controls.  I have already done the redesign and it looks and works as I need.  Thank you for responding.
