Our shop is currently a Web Forms shop and we have some new projects coming in that will be using Razor pages in Visual Studio 2022.

We do heavy data centric web sites on the companies intranet.  SQL Server is the back end.  We don't need in browser application functionality.

Since we are all learning Razor pages I wasn't sure where to start with the Telerik components.
What components should we take a look at first that will help us with our UI and reporting functionality?

Thanks

Hi Scott,

When starting with the Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core components I would suggest reviewing the following guidelines:

As you mentioned data heavy UI I would suggest reviewing the following components:

Make sure to review the Telerik UI for ASP.NET Core demo site that highlights the components' functionalities and features and inspect the source code behind the examples:

I should note the Demo site is build using the MVC pattern, though if reviewing a RazorPage example is a must I can suggest referring to the additional repository of examples where we have a separate RazorPages application, that highlights the use of our components with RazorPages.

For reporting functionality refer to Telerik Reporting. Telerik Reporting is a feature-complete embedded reporting solution that enables you to create, style, view and export rich, interactive and reusable reports in your web or desktop application.

Finally, I can also share some additional blog posts that you might find useful on migrating from WebForms to different technologies:

I hope this helps. If additional details are needed feel free to get back to me.

Aleksandar
