Hi Team,
I am new to Telerik Test Studio and somewhere I read that for scheduling the test runs and sending results via mail automatically requires Mongo DB
I am interested in knowing more about MongoDB Installation and its features.
(a) Is Mongo DB an Open Source (Freeware) ?
(b) How to configure Mongo DB with Test Studio ?
(c) Our company has SQL DB. Can we still use it instead of Mongo DB ?
Can anyone help me on this ?
Thanks

Hello Abdul,
Thank you for your interest in Telerik Test Studio.
MongoDB is a freeware and is inserted in the scheduling and storage server installation and is automatically configured to work with Test Studio once installed. SQL databases are no longer supported to collaborate with Test Studio.
Please let me know if there is anything else I could be helpful with. Hope to hear from you soon!

Hello Abdul,
MongoDB is automatically installed along with the storage service installation. However if you need the MongoDB itself you could download it from here.

If we preferred to use Microsoft SQL Server, in a nut shell, how would we go about setting that up and/or what are our options? Thanks in advance.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your question.
The database service which the Telerik Storage relies on is Mongo DB and it could not be replaced. I hope this will resolve your doubts.
