I have another test included in the parent script using the Test as Step feature. I am try to debug a step which is in the "Test as Step" script but for some reason, test studio does not stop running at the breakpoint but continues as if it does not recognize breakpoints inside "Test as Step" scripts.

Hello Reddy,

This is a known limitation of breakpoints. They only work on the main test. Instead you can use the "Pause" Test Step Property(see screenshot).

This isn't a very good workaround. I want to be able to pause on a 'Test as Step' step in order to correct a problem. If you pause you are not left in a state where you can re-record or replace problematic steps. Is this ever going to be implemented?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for contacting us.

I fully understand the provided workaround is not quite convenient while trying to debug your tests. We have that feature in mind however its priority is not the highest. I am sorry to admit that we could not provide any estimation for that.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hello Miriam,

There is a public feedback on our portal which progress you could follow. Please find it here. I am fully aware it is quite old already ans still opened but as I have mentioned before it is not in the top priorities for the moment.

Thank you for your understanding!
