When I click the Bind Test button and change the data source in the drop down (with Use T-SQL checked and some custom script entered in the editor), I get an error "Unable to show the data. Error: Invalid object name [tablename referenced in first datasouce].". After pressing Ok, and unchecking "Use T-SQL", my list of tables does not appear. If i toggle back and forth between the 2 data sources in the drop down, it eventually shows the table list but not after about 3-5 times of toggling back and forth and unchecking/Updating. Just wanted to run this by and see if anybody else experienced this and/or if this was a known issue..

Hi Chris,

I tried to reproduce the behavior you describe with both two Excel data sources and two SQL databases but unfortunately I was not able to. Please let me know what is the version of Test Studio you are using currently? If it is not the latest official (R2 2016.630.1), please upgrade to it and let me know if you are still facing the same issue.

Please record a short video demonstrating the observed behavior in case it still encounters. You could use Jing as an easy to share online video recorder.

Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon!

My version is 2016.2.720.0

I was able to get around the issue, I just had to be patient and wait for it to load. I can't replicate it and send it via Jing but I will keep that in mind next time I come across a showstopper.

It almost seemed/felt like it took a minute to connect to the database and when it finally did, it paused for a half second in between switching connections and finally displayed... If it happens again I will def. record it. Thanks for your help anyways!

Hi Chris,

Please note that if the databases you have connected as sources are quite large it might take some time to switch between both which is expected behavior because connection need to be established and loaded to the Test Studio UI. Thanks for your feedback!
