 Hi,

I tried record & playback for a "Create" screen. All the step runs fine but at the last when the "Save" button is clicked after the data is entered, the page is been redirected to error page. Initially i thought there might be some problem with the network. So i tried to create a new contact manually & it got saved without any error. I used the same test data which i have given in the "Test" in the test studio. I'm not pretty much sure about the issue. Kindly help me in resolving this issue.

Thanks,
Deepa.C

Hi Deepa,

I am sorry you are experiencing this problem. Sometimes a default Click will not trigger events associated with controls. Please try setting the SimulateRealClick property to "True" for the "Click 'Save' button" step. This ensures that your test will click on the button as a real user.

If you are still having trouble getting this to work, we'll need to reproduce the issue in our environment. If your app is publicly accessible, please provide a stripped down test that demonstrates this behavior. If your app is private, consider taking a Fiddler Trace.

If you feel that information is sensitive, you can file and attach it to a support ticket, which is confidential unlike this forum thread.

Kind regards,

Hi Plamen,

Thanks for the reply. I tried with the "SimulateRealType" but still i'm facing the same issue. Since this project is very confidential, i'm unable to send the issue to you. Is there any other way you can help me out with this issue??

Thanks,

Hi Deepa,

Since direct access to your application is not possible, next best alternative is to take a Fiddler trace and attach it to a support ticket(into a zip file). That trace, used with a copy of your test, is a good substitute for direct access. If you are unfamiliar with how to do that please refer to this short video. You can download Fiddler application from here.

Jing video demonstrating the issue may also help us to better understand what is happening.

All the best,
